Charles Gellard Andover's 5th Degree Tae Kwon-Do Black Belt
Instructor was again proud to display members of his highly
successful Tae Kwon-Do Club in front of the camera as they
return from the English tournament with three hard earned
medals.
The event took place in Coventry on Sunday 13th March and
was attended by nearly 2000 competitors several hundred officials
including over 10 black belt referees and umpires from the
Andover Club.
The Coventry tournament is an efficiently run regular venue
for the 460 plus clubs in the UK and also attracts competitors
from abroad. Andover was successful in black, red, and, green
belt divisions.
'This indicates a tremendous depth of experience and talent
within our club', said Charles.
The results were confirmed as:
Mark Stanton BRONZE Sparring Cadet Male Red Belt division
Nicola Raw BRONZE Sparring Cadet Female Green Belt division
Steve Blyth GOLD Sparring Adult Male
Charles said 'I am very proud to be associated with such talented
individuals and it is extremely gratifying to be their instructor'.
In Andover we have a highly motivated and professional team
of black belts that assist the tuition of our students. Without
their dedication and perseverance we would not achieve the
high standards and successes that we seem to achieve on a
regular basis in competition after competition'. Charles who
is a senior instructor in the T.A.G.B. added. "The Tae Kwon
Do Association of Great Britain pride themselves on being
Europe's largest single martial arts organisation. With over
20,000 members and over 450 clubs of which Andover is one
of the largest. We guarantee certificated, experienced instructors,
a carefully designed National Curriculum teaching syllabus
and the high standards Tae Kwon Do students all over the country
have come to expect.
There are many reasons why you might decide to take up Tae
Kwon Do from fitness to self-defence, competitions to health.
Tae Kwon Do training is about learning to discipline your
mind as well as your body and the T.A.G.B. instructors always
include elements in their teaching which help their students
to develop mentally as well as physically. Contact Charles
