as a means to enlighten man while maintaining a harmonious
society.

In Tae Kwon Do, one must be able to determine right from wrong
and to have a conscience, if wrong, to feel guilt.
Perseverance
To achieve anything, whether it is a higher belt degree or
perfection of a technique, one must set his goal, then constantly
persevere to attain it.
Self-Control
An inability to live within one's capability is a lack of
self-control.
Indomitable Spirit
If confronted with injustice a student of Tae Kwon Do will
deal with the injustice without fear or hesistation, with
indomitable spirit, regardless whosoever or however many the
number may be. As history has proven, those who have pursued
their dreams earnestly and strenously with indomitable spirit
have never failed to achieve their goals.
The martial arts skills learned
in Tae-Kwon-Do are to be used to prevent conflict and violence.
Never should a Tae-Kwon-Do student initiate physical conflict
and the techniques of Tae-Kwon-Do should be used only as a
last resort in self defense or in the defense of another person.
Essentially, Tae-Kwon-Do students are expected to be model
citizens and work for betterment of their community.
